Balcony views

This second painting using acrylic paints took longer than the fruit bowl painting. I learnt how to use a sponge to paint the background and I spent awhile working on first the doors and windows and then the tree. The front paving was tackled last.

Some friends' feedback:

* David and I just LOVED your drawings - we just kept on looking at them !

* The breadth of technique and style that shows through the posting are amazing, especially given you seem to have started just in September?!? I'm very jealous and impressed that you've thrown yourself into art so fully. I'm actually taking a hiatus from ceramics (since about July 2007) and trying to decide where I want to go next. Maybe I should consider 2 dimensions for a bit.

* LOVE IT!!!! Very exciting indeed. Is this from a photograph or your head?
